Plumbing Technician - Experienced Licensed
In this position, the plumbing technician will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the plumbing and water treatment systems in residential buildings. This includes installing and repairing sinks, toilets and water heaters, and plumbing fixtures, as well as appliances including dishwashers and garbage disposals as well as water filters and water softeners, well tanks. Our company offers on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Starting pay is determined upon skills and experience.
The essential functions of the Plumbing Technician, but are not limited to the following:
- Complete plumbing and water treatment and well pumps and other related in-home, service calls.
- Serving the clients of the company by expertly servicing customers’ entire plumbing and water treatment and well pump system.
- Always explain to the client what service you are performing. Explain and show the client how the company provides superior service.
- Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
- Re-check all plumbing repairs and installations after you’ve repaired or replaced it, before leaving the client’s home to ensure everything is working properly and that we did indeed fix it right the first time.
- Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
- Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems
- Understanding of the current regulations within the field
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Plumbing troubleshooting and repair
- Provide an acceptable driving record and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer service skills
- Water treatment is a Plus!
Physical Demands:
- Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Operate handheld power tools.
- Wear personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day.
Working Environment:
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- The Plumber may work in awkward environments and will have to carry all required equipment and supplies at all times.
